Alyssa Gruber is a recent graduate of the Miami University of Ohio’s Farmer School of Business.

A native Rochesterian, Alyssa has returned to her hometown to work and pursue her  M.S. Marketing degree at the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester. Before managing the Women Entrepreneurs Blog @ Simon, she authored a weekly blog on graduate school issues called “Getting Down to Business on Businessweek.com. Alyssa is also Editor-in-Chief of the World According to Simon Magazine.

Presently, in addition to studying and blogging, Alyssa is pursuing her own entrepreneurial path, establishing a hand made jewelry business. She designs and creates intricate bead and semiprecious stone pieces that will soon be sold through the Internet and in selected boutiques.

Alyssa is an avid snowboarder, which keeps her smiling through the long Rochester winters. She lives in Brighton with her fluffy canine companion, Roscoe.
